Our ethos is simple yet effective. We aim for every child to reach his / her maximum potential both academically and extra-murally. We teach children across a wide range of abilities - from children with dyslexia-related difficulties to academic scholars, budding actors, artists and musicians to those representing the County in a variety of sports. Whatever your child's ability, we will nurture it to enable him or her to attain the very highest standard possible in a happy 'buzzy' atmosphere.

After-School Care and Overnight Boarding

In addition to Breakfast and Supper Clubs, the School offers other 'cover' for day pupils' parents who are unable to collect their children at the end of the School day.

Pre-Prep Department

All children in the Pre-Prep Department may stay at School for drink and biscuits until 4.30pm. Pre-Prep children who are in School post 4.30pm will be taken to Junior Boarding Wing. The cost of this cover is £1.50 per half-hour.

Prep School

Children in the Prep School may stay until 5.30pm for either Clubs and Societies or to do prep. After this time, they will be formally 'booked in' for after-School care and the cost of this is £1.50 per half-hour.

Overnight Boarding

All children may stay for overnight boarding during the term. This must be booked through the School Office to enable us to check on bed availability. On the morning of the stay, an overnight case should be left at the School Office. Boarding out of term-time is by special arrangement only with the Headmaster and is offered in extenuating circumstances only.

All requests for Overnight Boarding or After-School Care must be made through the School Office.
