Religious Education encourages a reflective approach to living, a knowledge and understanding of religious beliefs and practices and a development of personal skills in forming reasoned opinions based on evidence and arguement. Religious Education forms a distinctive element in the curriculum whilst sharing the task of fostering the total development of the pupil.
At Barnardiston , we aim to help the pupils develop knowledge and understanding of the traditions and relevance of Christianity and its impact on individuals and communities today. Pupils learn both about and from other religions. The children are taught to respect the opinions of others and show integrity and tolerance towards one another. In Religious Education we promote and encourage the understanding of one's moral and spiritual awareness.
