We
recognise that many parents are, quite rightly, concerned that the food their children eat in The Nursery meets the high standards they set at home. As parents ourselves, we understand this and our menus have been devised to reflect the food you would serve yourself.
For babies, we will make up formula as required or store and serve expressed breast milk. When it comes to weaning, we are led by you and, up to the age of one, we are happy for you to provide your own meals for your child which we will warm-up and serve. For those following baby-led weaning, we are happy to follow your lead.
From age one onwards, we provide ‘School’ meals for children at midday, serving classics such as cottage pie, macaroni cheese and fish fingers – all served in bite-sized pieces with cutlery and crockery to suit little fingers! In addition, we provide a healthy mid-morning and afternoon snacks to ensure that children never go hungry.
For those having a late pick-up (after 4.30pm), we provide an afternoon tea, with favourites such as beans-on-toast, spaghetti bolognaise and chicken goujons.
A full 3-weekly menu can be seen on our website. You will also find details of everything your child has eaten at The Nursery in their Communications Book which will be ready for you when you pick up your child at the end of the day.
