Transfers
Barnardiston Hall provides a personalised service meeting and greeting children at the airport using our own School staff – including the Headmaster! We can, therefore, ‘get to know’ new students when they arrive for the first time, talking with them in the car during the journey and putting them at their ease. By the time they get to the School, they will have learnt a lot about us and we will have learnt a lot about them, too!
Transfers to and from the airport are arranged at the start and end of each term and we ask that, where possible, you use London Heathrow or Stansted Airports.
For the safety of our children, we insist on the Unaccompanied Minor Service being used unless they are travelling with an adult. We will not allow a child to travel back home on their own as we do not believe young children should be left to navigate the airport which is very large and can be confusing. Flights are also sometimes delayed and, once through security, we would not be able to offer any help. Therefore, please ensure that the UM Service is booked at the same time as you book your flights.
Transfers to and from the airport are also available at half-terms should you wish your child to return home at this time.
