Netball
All girls in the Prep School play Netball.
In the Autumn Term, the U 9 teams compete in High Five matches against local schools. High Fives gives the players the experience of all the main positions as they move positionally after each quarter of the match.
Progressing to 7-a-side when they are 10-years-old, all the girls are given the opportunity to represent Barnardiston at both U11 and U13 age-groups. The girls play matches on a Wednesday afternoons with the occasional Saturday tournament. Not only do matches give the girls match-play, they also provide valuable life lessons as they learn both to lead and be part of a team and also how to be a host and a guest.
Belonging to IAPS gives us a platform to play against both local schools and those from outside our region as we compete in both the small schools and the national tournaments.
