Barnardiston, Nr Haverhill, Suffolk, CB9 7TG
Barnardiston Hall has been licenced since the inception of Tier 4 (and then Child Students Visas) to issue a CAS to parents who wish their child to study in the UK. We are able to do this as soon as the following has been completed:
- Parents / Agents apply for a place in the School. Full information regarding the child (recent School Reports and an informal interview with the Agent) are given to the School and an initial assessment is made.
- Assuming that the child meets the criteria set for the offer of a place, maths / English test papers may be sent for completion. This will show us what level of English has been reached and assists us in gauging what additional support will be required. At this stage, a place will be offered or reasons for a place not being offered will be given.
- Registration documentation is sent to Agents / Parents for completion and return to the School.
- Upon receipt of all completed registration documentation, an invoice for three terms plus the deposit will be sent to the Agent / Parents for immediate payment. Additional financial documentation will also be requested to prove financial ability to pay the remainder of fees throughout the stay.
- Parents will receive notification from the UKVA as soon as the Visa has been issued and the School will receive notification that the BRP (Biometric Residency Permit) is going to be issued. As long as the ACL code has been used correctly, this BRP will be sent directly to the School. In the case of parents not using the ACL code, their child will have to travel with a member of School staff to another county to collect the BRP in person. This will entail a full half-day away from School for the student and a fee of £100 will be charged to the parent.
